I'm in floral mode again, this time working on some designs for my return to Northbrook. The image here is a floral motif painted in acrylics on nylon and machined stitched.
Having gathered lots of poppy seeds on Plot 61a I am busy putting them in little packets for my friends and family - some will go on their gardens but I strongly suspect some will find there way into other areas as the guerilla gardeners get busy beautifying the urban landscape!
UPDATED I am a Sussex based Textiles Designer Maker with a passion for textiles.
I have just completed a BA (Hons) degree in Surface Textile Design course at Northbrook College gaining a First Class classification. I exhibted at New Designers at the Business Design Centre in London. I am now looking for design opportunities. I have been invited to submit a piece of work to the View Gallery in Bristol and have also been invited to exhibit my final major project fashion designs at the Bexhill Costume Museum early in 2012. I am currently working on a commission for a narrow boat on the Thames.
My blog has been a great way to keep me thinking creatively and I intend to keep it up.
I will also be setting up a website soon, so do look out for that.
